Katie & Paul met at Point Loma Nazarene University during their years in college. Paul, raised in Fresno and Katie, from SoCal fell strongly for each other. Their love for each other is strong and they share an even stronger passion for ministry. Paul is a pastor of a local San Diego church and I met him through friends at PLNU. I was first given a glimpse of their strong chemistry during their engagement session in Del Mar. With how perfect their engagement session was, I knew walking into their wedding day that It would be a special day. I loved capturing all their moments.

Their Wedding & Reception were both held at the Shelter Island Sheraton hotel with a ceremony in a small, private garden and their reception overlooking all of downtown San Diego. It was breathtaking.

Here are some of my favorite images from the day!

I knew from the moment I arrived at Chelsey & Josh’s Wedding and saw all the a-mazing details that Chelsey had hand made that it was blog & print worthy. With so many options for publication, it’s tough to decide where it should go. I’ll be honest and say that I did submit their wedding to some of the “bigger” publications and they denied it. I let go of submitting it for a while until I found the right “home” for this wedding. Last evening, I found Two Bright Lights. I uploaded their wedding and went through their process of submitting. I loved this because I could upload to one place and submit to 20 blogs all at once!

I woke up this morning and approached my desk to find that their wedding had already been featured on a wedding inspiration blog! How exciting & super quick too!

If you are a photographer hoping to submit your wedding, two huge things I learned are that you need to make sure you capture tons of details on the wedding day. Chelsey made that easy for me with her incredible style choices!! Also, get a long written description from the bride. The blog I am featured on today mentioned to me that with 100 submissions she got this week, she chose mine because I had a long written story from the bride and assembled the detail shots in a creative way.

Today, Chelsey & Josh’s wedding was featured on Project Bride

Yesterday, I shot Kay & Stephen’s Wedding! I can’t wait to share more of their images that include a cliffside ceremony, pictures around a museum and lots & lots of great light! For now, here is a teaser image!

Bryan & Veronicas wedding was held at Point Loma Nazarene University! I absolutely love this campus and how gorgeous its views overlooking the Pacific Ocean and I love the architecture throughout the campus that no other location has. It’s so perfect because it’s where they met a few years ago.

I first met Bryan & Veronica while we all worked in youth ministry. It’s been so special having them not only as clients but as best friends. It was extremely special for Scarlett & I to capture their wedding day because Bryan is actually the pastor for our wedding next April!

Veronica & Bryan got married on the Alumni Lawn at PLNU. I loooove this location because of the old Alumni House where the girls got ready and also because of the huge 100 year old oak tree on the lawn. Their reception immediatly followed at the Liberty Station NTC in Point Loma. There was so many perfect DTY Bride details that fitted the day like a glove!

Here are some of my favorite images from the day!

Veronica & Bryan’s Wedding was being filmed for a new show coming out this fall on TLC! It was a fun experience with cameras on us all day! I’ll post details in a few months when the episode is set to air!! Here is a behind the scenes shot!

Last weekend, we had an beyond amazing experience capturing Veronica & Bryan’s Wedding. They have been two of my best friends for the past few years and I can’t wait to share more from their exceptional wedding! Here is just a teaser for now!

Earlier this week you saw the blog post from Taylor & Scott’s amazing beach front Hotel Del Coronado wedding. During their wedding, we had the absolute pleasure of working with the phenomenal cinematography team known as FortyOneTwenty. These guys are the best videographers that we have ever worked, period! (No we aren’t being bias because we also selected them as our own wedding videographers.) They are THAT good.

To see what I’m talking about and how amazing their team is, check out the video below from Taylor & Scott’s Wedding!!

Last weekend, I had a great time shooting Taylor & Scott‘s wedding at the Hotel Del Coronado! Here is just a teaser from their amazing wedding!

In the first meeting I had with Chelsey & Josh in the fall, they brought an immediate smile to my face. I loved how deeply in love they are with each other and they have an even deeper passion for Jesus. During their engagement session in Julian last year, I was given a glimpse into Chelsey’s passion for modern-vintage style that she rocks everywhere she goes. Chelsey also recently received a BA from FIDM where she mastered a craft in creative fashion & marketing. Now we have a bride who is gorgeous who loves modern-vintage style and has a strong fashion sense. I knew that their wedding would be incredible after our conversations we shared about how important details are at your wedding. A wedding that took place at a vintage winery that was built in 1889.

With the Wedding design & coordinating perfection from Krystel at Cotoure Events mixed with Chelsey’s DIY “lovebird” themed design, the day was filled out as a perfect wedding. Literally.

A little over a week ago (before I got the nasty cold) I shot a great wedding over a one of La Jolla’s finest  Resorts, The Estancia. I absolutely love the design of their hotel and they have plenty of great areas for when your taking the couple around for portraits.
